Columbus Blue Jackets – December 1, 5, 9, 12, 14, 20, 23, Nationwide Arena
Hockey season is underway, and our Columbus Blue Jackets have seven home games in December! They will be facing the Anaheim Ducks, New Jersey Devils, Arizona Coyotes, Edmonton Oilers, New York Islanders, Toronto Maple Leaves and Philadelphia Flyers. Wildlights – Now through December 31, 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Santa, reindeer, animated musical light shows and millions of LED lights make Wildlights Central Ohio’s favorite holiday tradition. This year, Rudolph and Bumble will be joining the fun. Visit the zoo’s website for more information about the attractions.
Gardens Aglow – Now through January 3, Franklin Park Conservatory
Enjoy the beauty of the season with elegant poinsettias, seasonal foliage and twinkling lights arranged with sleek and bold mid-century modern design elements. Entertainment, activities and the annual gingerbread competition make this a fun event for individuals and families.
Ohio Chinese Lantern Festival, Now through January 7, Ohio State Expo Center
The Ohio Chinese Lantern Festival returns to Columbus with new light sculptures, exciting performances and cultural experiences for the whole family. Visit their website to buy tickets.
Santacon Columbus 2017 – December 8, Arena District
Grab your Santa suit and join hundreds of Santas to bar hop around the Arena District! The event is free, and specials and prizes will be given out all evening.
Central Ohio Symphony Holiday Concert – December 10, Gray Chapel, University Hall Ohio Wesleyan University
This holiday musical program will include special guest Lone Raven, who will perform four newly arranged songs heard for the first time with the orchestra.
Dave & Jimmy’s Jingle Jam Fest – December 14, Express Live!

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer The Musical – December 16-17, Palace Theatre
This beloved TV classic is recreated on stage this holiday season, featuring Santa, Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice and of course Rudolph. You can purchase tickets on CAPA’s website.
Jim Brickman: A Joyful Christmas – December 17, Southern Theatre
Grammy-nominated songwriter and piano sensation Jim Brickman will put you in the holiday spirit with his 2017 Holiday tour, A Joyful Christmas.
The Harlem Globetrotters – December 28, Schottenstein Center
The world famous Harlem Globetrotters will show off their ball handling wizardry, rim-rattling dunks, trick shots and unequaled fan interaction at this exciting event. The Globetrotter stars will stay after the game for autographs, photographs and high five sessions for fans. Tickets are available for the 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. show.
