Edwards Communities knows that apartment living is not just about having a roof over your head. For our members, it’s about community, getting to know your neighbors, and being on a first-name basis with our on-site staff. Each community is its own little family, and that bond is nurtured and solidified with the help of our social events.
Here’s a recap of the events that took place in our communities in August:
Wine Night at The Orchard, August 2
Our members got to sample different wines and light appetizers at this free event. It was a great way to kick off the final month of the summer!
Paint Your Pet at Camden Place, August 3
Members created a keepsake of their beloved pet by painting their picture on a canvas. It was a fun and creative night!
Pool Parties at One Pearl Place & Strathmoor, August 5 & 8
What a better way to beat the summer heat than with a pool party! Our community pool parties are all about a relaxing good time, and include pizza, drinks and games. The weather somewhat cooperated for us this month!
Ballroom Dancing at The Barn, August 7
Our members learned to dance like stars during a Ballroom Dance class at The Barn! Instructors Brianna McEowen and Diego Enrique Semprun taught approximately 45 Edwards Communities’ members the basic steps of the Cha Cha and the Salsa. You can read more about this event on our blog!
Pallet Paint Night at Hayden Lofts, August 15
This community-wide painting event gave members of neighboring Edwards’ communities the chance to customize our Buckeye state on their very own pallet. Here’s a glimpse of what was created – our members are so talented!
Tour of Italy at Times Square, August 16
Times Square members got a tour of Italy in the beautiful setting of their greenhouse! The evening offered a sampling of food, beverages and time to relax and unwind with friends. Not a bad way to spend a Wednesday night!
Southern Fried BBQ at The Charleston, August 17
Members enjoyed a Southern Fried BBQ, complete with fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, watermelon, baked beans and other picnic style foods and beverages! Even one of our furry members was tempted by the spread!
BBQ on Bourbon at Orleans, August 24
It was a perfect night for a barbecue! Members at Orleans enjoyed complimentary food and drinks at our BBQ on Bourbon Street event!
Picnic & Pints at Arlington Park, August 30
Our social events for August wrapped up with a traditional picnic at Arlington Park! We grilled out hot dogs and hamburgers, and provided a buffet of picnic foods and beverages for our members!
