The Barn Hosts Event to Support The Dublin Pet Fair

On Sunday August 27, The Barn hosted a special event to support the sixth annual Dublin Pet Fair, a pet and family friendly event that raises money for local pet rescues.

Sixty Edwards Communities members and friends enjoyed an afternoon of snacks, beverages, t-shirts and live music by Byrd Manring, Charlie Tatman and Shawn Stewart. Vendors from Uno Pizzeria & Grill, The Jewelled Cat and a representative from Young Living Essential Oils had items for sale. The Barn raised nearly $1,000 for The Dublin Pet Fair.

The Dublin Pet Fair is scheduled for September 24 from 12-5 at the Coffman Park Pavilion. This signature event of Dublin Pet Charities Inc., will feature a parade of rescues, contests and pet demonstrations. There will be adoptable pets from more than 30 rescues around Central Ohio. The event is free to attend, but vendors will available to provide pet microchips and medical testing for a nominal fee. Prizes will be awarded for best costume, best trick, cutest pet, smallest pet, largest pet and best in show. All the money raised that day will benefit the animal rescues that attend.

Susan Willis founded Dublin Pet Charities, Inc. in 2012 as a way to support multiple pet rescues. She always felt it was her life’s purpose to help animals. In addition to organizing The Dublin Pet Fair, the non-profit organization sponsors spay and neuter clinics, pet microchip clinics, and medical financial support. Its mission is to assist individuals and rescue groups in uniting rescue dogs with families, and in creating awareness of the importance of animal welfare and rescues.

Edwards Communities thanks all of our members and friends who attended our fundraiser to support The Dublin Pet Rescue on Sunday! If you’d like more information about the upcoming Pet Fair, please visit The Dublin Pet Fair’s website.
