Columbus is an exciting city all year ’round, but it’s especially fun in May. The weather is finally starting to warm up, students are dismissed for summer break, and everyone’s getting excited about all the fun outdoor events the city has to offer.

And while the weekend activity options are endless, we’ve compiled a short list of our favorite events that we feel you shouldn’t miss.

Here are Edwards Communities’ “Around Town” Picks for May:

Worthington Farmer’s Market – Every Saturday, 646 North High Street, Worthington

Its mission is to encourage, support and promote the entrepreneurial efforts of local, independent, and small-scale farmers and food artisans wanting to sell their products directly to consumers. Visit their website for more details!

Riverdance May 12-18 at The Palace Theater

This is the first home game of a four game series against the Indianapolis Indians, so if Monday doesn’t work for your schedule, maybe another day that week will. Game times and tickets are available on their website.

Now in its 42nd year, the tournament continues to honor the memory of individuals living and deceased who have distinguished themselves in the game of golf, to showcase the world’s best golfers competing on one of the most challenging venues, and to benefit many Greater Columbus charities in alliance with the Nicklaus Children’s Healthcare Foundation, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and other organizations.

Columbus Crew vs. Seattle Sounders FC – May 31 at MAPFRE Stadium

Watch a game played by Ohio’s Major League Soccer Club! Their website has a full schedule, ticket information, video interviews, club news and much more.

This is a small sample of the many activities being offered this May in our exciting city! You can learn about other events by visiting local events websites such as Experience Columbus and Columbus Underground.

And if you’re moving to town or looking for a place to live, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention our beautiful, amenity-filled communities located in downtown Columbus, near OSU campus, Capital University, and in the suburbs. We invite you to visit our website or tour any of our communities so you can experience for yourself the beauty, charm and quality that is Edwards Communities.
